Watch the BMW X6 M Drift in Official Teaser Video

BMW is getting ready to show the all-new generation of one of its most iconic cars, the X6 M. It's made for people who want to go fast in a vehicle that shouldn't, and drag racing isn't the only thing it will go good at.

Official teaser videos are rarely entertaining, but this one kind of is. We're taken behind the scenes at a secret testing facility, where the presenter sports "spare tire set 2 and 3" for the X6 M. That alone should tell you what's about to happen. Also, there's a lot of censorship to protect the features of the car, which ends up being hilarious when the man starts playing with the new M shifter. Is this a Japanese video or what?

Of course, even if BMW doesn't want to tell us anything, people already have a good idea of what to expect, as German cars are rarely kept secret. With the Competition pack that keeps getting mentioned here, the X6 M should make 625 horsepower, the same as the M5. That's not mind-blowing, but it does amazing things with the grunt.

It seems that with the stability controlled off, there's a way to have the X6 M in drift mode, just like other M cars. Most of the power must be going to the back, and if the debut comes soon enough, this will go down in history as the first SUV to offer this.

Yes, we know it should be called SAC (Sports Activity Coupe), the official designation coined by BMW when it introduced this once controversial machine. But it's undoubtedly going to be compared to other lusty 4x4s like the Lamborghini Urus or the Aston Martin DBX. Of course, the Russians are going to keep buying the X6 M, but the fact that it can hoon around Moscow is a nice bonus.
