As most of you know, the Acura NSX was selected as the official pace car for this year's Pikes Peak Hill Climb race, but we're not here to tell you ice-cold news.
A new video of the new NSX surfaced online courtesy of Acura, and it places the supercar in the breathtaking panorama of the 14,110 ft (roughly 4,300 m) high Pikes Peak mountain.

Acura installed no less than 24 cameras along the course to capture the NSX's sprint to the top, but officials were quick to add the supercar will not push the limits as it heads to the clouds.

Still, those at the event were able to witness the car's sophisticated hybrid powertrain developed around a 75-degree twin-turbo V6 engine mated to a 9-speed dual clutch transmission and a three motor all-wheel drive system. As you'll see in the video, the driver couldn't help from letting the car's rear end slide subtly in corners as the engine sound reverberated all over the 2.4-mile, 156-turn course.

To be honest, we couldn't think of a better place to unleash the new NSX. In fact, maybe the Suzuka circuit would have carried a more emotional weight but even so, Ayrton Senna would be proud if he could see the car today.

As you know, legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senna worked with Honda and helped the Japanese engineers fine-tune the chassis of the NSX "affordable supercar" released in 1990 and brought back to life with the 2016 Acura NSX.
