While the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray has yet to arrive in showrooms, with deliveries scheduled to commence in September, General Motors has already introduced the racing version of the C7 Vette at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion earlier this month.
But the track-prepped machine was wearing enough camouflage to hide most of the details and Chevy didn’t bother to release more than just two photos on their Facebook page. However, a video of C7.R Corvette lapping the Laguna Seca track that was uploaded on YouTube recently show the race car in it’s full dynamic glory with plenty of V8 growling.
Little is known about the 2014 Corvette C7.R and GM is still mum on details, but word has it the future ALMS contender will be motivated by an upgraded version of the C6.R’s 5.5-liter V8. Until more info surfaces, scroll below to watch the C7.R make some noise at Laguna Seca.
