The 6th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise is set to debut worldwide this week. Since everyone is excited about the new film that will be featuring some BMW E60 M5s, the guys from the Straits Times had the opportunity to talk to some of the cast members.
Not only that but they also had a great idea. They wanted to see how they react to the car prices in Singapore. Why would that amaze them? Well, because Singapore is no ordinary country when it comes to cars.
The Government is desperate to reduce the number of cars that are crowding the streets of their nation. In order to make sure not everyone buys a car, the taxes are enormous in the little city-state.
For example, a Toyota Prius costs no less than $154,000 over there, enough to discourage anyone from even dreaming of buying one. That's just an example though.
When being interviewed, Michelle was so amazed of what she learned that she dared to ask just how much does a real car cost. The host was quick to answer: a premium car like a BMW 6 Series coupe costs no less than $330,000 (€225,750).
