He might’ve only recently discovered racing, but Canadian DJ Deadmau5 is learning quite fast. Not only does he own some of the best cars in the branch, such as a McLaren 650S Spider and a Ferrari 458 Italia, but he also is a good friend of IndyCar star James Hinchcliffe. The duo recently raced each other in Honda Fit cars on the Putnam Park Road Course.
American Honda has created a new marketing platform through which they organize concerts with some of the biggest artists of the hour. One of those to join the line-up recently was Deamdau5, who also performed an anniversary show in New York last month, promoting his new album “5 years of mau5”.

Considering Zimmerman’s passion for cars and his newly developed interest for motorsport, Honda had his friend, professional racer James Hinchcliffe, and him get behind the wheel of two specially wrapped Honda Fit cars and race each other. As you’d expect, the best 2 out of 3 wins were rather something symbolic, but Deadmau5 seemed to have what it takes to one day become a professional driver.

After all, in just a matter of months he’ll also have the cars to race with. We already reported about his future rides. The BAC Mono sportscar is on its final stage of production as it’s due for delivery on December 12, while his first hypercar, the McLaren P1, will arrive in March next year.
