Watch and Learn: Rider Crashes after Braking on Sandy Asphalt

Dirty roads are one of the nastiest plights of motorcycle riders. With traction sometimes reduced to zero in such unfortunate cases, riders have to use extra care to remain upright, while braking in such a scenario is one of the surest ways to crash.
While we first watched this video we simply thought the rider is inexperienced and got scared, locking the front wheel or skidding and being unable to maintain the bike's balance. A closer look at the road conditions shows massive layers of dirt on the middle of the road: whether it's only sand and dust or it also has the much hated gravel, it matter little.

The rider was unaware enough of the road conditions and braked on the dirty patch of asphalt, and seeing him come off the bike is just small surprise. This thing can happen to anyone and is a very tight situation, with very few motorcyclists making it through safely.

However, a more experienced rider will always scout ahead to be able to avoid the dangers in time.
