Watch and Learn: Nasty Highway Crash Because of Dead Bird

This is yet one more crash which could have been avoided rather easily, so we believe it could go very well with the Watch and Learn tag.
Older, more experienced riders will tell you that the best way to tackle a small obstacle is holding firmly onto the handlebar, keep the bike as straight as possible and sometimes even throttle a bit, to make the front wheel lighter.

Now, it's obvious that the rider in this video made the wrong decision when he though that braking hard was the way to go. Since he had plenty of room to go around the dead bird on the road, we might believe that he did not see in in time.

Even so, with the throttle on and the bike straight up, we could have gone straight through it, and maybe had some trouble with blood on his wheels causing a bit of instability and wobble, nothing impossible to handle, whatsoever. Unfortunately, the bike went over the dead bird in full braking and this sent it sliding out of control, crashing. The rider does not seem to have severe injuries, so maybe it's all a lesson learned.
