We guess there are extremely few riders who have never slalomed in the highway traffic... even though it not at all advisable, not to mention that in some parts of the world, such a riding manner is deemed illegal and is therefore punishable.
Well, sometimes, this is the only way to get ahead in the line, but doing so in very busy traffic is an extremely risky business. Even more, taking a look at how all these drivers are using lanes, we'd say that indeed, slaloming is the surest way to get injured and wreck one's bike.
Vans passing on the right side using the emergency lane, slow cars in the second one, they all seem they just couldn't care less and everybody is driving as they see fit, in complete disregard of elementary highway rules.
And that's exactly why seeing this rider crash in just seconds was not at all a surprise, unfortunately. Luckily for him, he was thrown in the emergency lane, bike and all, and no 4-ton van was coming (as we just saw happening in the beginning of the video). He seems alright, if shaken up a bit, and maybe he'll learn this “thou shall not slalom” lesson.
