Watch and Hear an A 45 AMG Creep up Your Soul

Car spotting videos are usually boring, with usually a bunch of teenagers with HD cameras running around and trying to film an Arab showing off his latest six figure supercar on the streets of London or the French Riviera.
Of course, the car spotting phenomenon also happens in other European countries as well and not every “target” is a vinyl-wrapped/chromed/Ferrari/Lamborghini drool maker for the bystanders. Plus, not every car spotting footage is boring.

The following video, for example, shows a white Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG caught by car spotter NM2255 with an owner that is mostly minding his own business, apart from a few seconds of revving the M133 engine especially for the camera.

The four-cylinder engine's sounds aren't exactly what is normally expected from an AMG, but the noises made during each gear change are eargasmic to say the least. In order to provide a faster gear change for the 7-speed double clutch transmission, the engine's ECU momentarily stops cylinder ignition during each change, also delivering the sexy “brap!” sound as a consequence, which you can listen for yourself down below.
