The following video is one of the most peculiar ones we've seen all week, and what makes it even more strange is that it was filmed in the UK and not somewhere in Eastern Europe.
A man was caught on camera while he was driving a non-facelift Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 with his engine hood open and a battery jumper pinned on top of the engine.

The car was apparently being driven on a 50 mph stretch of the A31 trunk road and it was filmed by BBC presenter Jon Cutthill, who was a passenger in a car casually passing the Mercedes-Benz.

“I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Why would anyone think driving along a public highway with your bonnet up was a good idea? The bonnet obviously hadn't just sprung open accidentally. I just think it's crazy that someone would drive along a dual carriageway stretch of road without being able to see through the windscreen.” Cutthill was quoted as saying.

The best quote comes from the British Automobile Association spokesman though, who said: “It's someone who clearly didn't give a thought to other road users. It highlights there are drivers out there outside the mould of normality.”
