Earlier on we showed you a video review of the Mercedes-Benz E250 BlueTec facelift done by the guys at The Fast Lane Car. During that video you were most likely intrigued by the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist driving aid present on the car featured, a technology borrowed from the larger S-class.
Well, apparently The Fast Lane Car wanted to give you a better taste of what the new technology on the refreshed E-Class does and made a video with the single purpose of showing the unreal capabilities of the aforementioned driving aid.

Essentially a 90+ percent autonomous driving system, the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist can actually make the car drive completely by itself in stop and go traffic at speeds at up to 18 mph.

At higher speeds the driver will be required to still keep his/her hands on the steering wheel for the system to work, probably because of legal liability issues, but at lower speeds you can pretty much take a nap in the driver's seat... while driving. Check out the video below if you don't believe us.
