When you’re out there on the drag strip, trying to launch a motorcycle, the balance required on your side is more like a ballet. The same goes for those times when you manhandle your bike sideways, as very few riders dare drift their machines. Well, today we have a guy that manages to mix the two aforementioned activities, all on a chopper motivated by... a V8.
Did we say “V8”? Allow us to be more specific - we meant a supercharged small block Chevy V8 breathing alcohol. If Mad Max looked cool whipping his supercharged Australia muscle car, the rider of this two-wheeled behemoth takes the game to a whole new level - for instance, the man is literally hugging the blower while steering the thing.

The V8’s straight pipes or the custom chopper’s transmission alone shining in the sun are enough to grab anybody’s attention at the strip, but it’s the dynamic side of the experience that really turns heads.

The performance may seem weak, but you have to consider more than one traveling direction

The thing runs in the high 10s range, with trap speeds sitting at about 130 mph (210 km/h). Sure, that may beat 600cc bikes, but it falls behind what a bone stock 1,000cc sportbike can pull.

Still, like we said, this guy isn’t exactly drag racing, since on many of the runs he basically drifts his V8 bike over the entire width of the track. Talk about a prepped surface...

Getting this V8 monster off the line will result in enough smoke to cover the entire drag strip, so while the whole process may not be too efficient, we might as well call this a new sport altogether.
