Watch a Silent Review of The New Toyota Alphard

Toyota Alphard Review 1 photo

So far, Toyota was the only carmaker that came up with a potential competitor for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. In fact, we’re talking about two models, the Vellfire and the Alphard. And the latter has just been video-reviewed. In silent mode.
If video car reviews could be classified just like the available trim levels on a model, this one we’re talking about here would most definitely be a “base spec” review, since the one behind it is just moving around with a camera and...that’s about it.

The video surfaced on YouTube, under the Driver’s High Channel profile. At 14 minutes and 14 seconds long, the video begins by focusing on the Alphard’s key, then it moves on to the minivan’s exterior before finally putting the emphasize on the cabin, probably the most important element of Toyota’s luxury minivan.

We then get to see the Alphard’s instrument panel plus some buttons on the inside of the doors, but after that it’s time for some more video of the car’s exterior. And then, we’re back inside, this time for a more detailed view of the Alphard’s cabin features.

Once inside, we're in for some more button-pressing, door-opening-and-closing action, but still, no explanation whatsoever. The person who posted the video mentions that the filmed car is a Toyota Alphard Hybrid SR “C Package” 4WD. But this doesn’t change the fact that we would have liked to hear some actual words about the car.

The so-called Japanese V-Class looks like it kept its promise in terms of interior spacing and luxury accents, as the video reveals leather upholstery, wood trim, foldable trays and power-sliding doors. However, if you think you can invest 14 minutes or so from your time in watching a silent review, just click play on the video below.
