The crashing part of the valet parking job seems to be as old as the system itself and yet the example in the video above, a Lamborghini one, takes things past the usual fender-bender shenanigan.
For this unfortunate event, we’ll be traveling to New Delhi, India, where a a valet working for the Le Meridian hotel caused mayhem on July 3 while trying to move a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder around. The Raging Bull was sitting quietly in a queue formed right in front of the hotel, when the employee (or should we say former employee) gave the throttle pedal quite a stampede.
The Gallardo’s all-wheel drive worked against it on this occasion, with the supercar gaining serious momentum. As a result, the Lamborghini treated another vehicle with some sort of a PIT maneuver, sending the latter straight into a third vehicle. At the same time, the out-of-control Bull almost knocked down another valet. In a Pamplona Bull Run-like move, the later managed to escape being hit in the last second.
The Gallardo Spyder was unlucky enough to crash into the corner of a concrete structure, thus amplifying the damage caused by the impact. Alas, the valet suffered light injuries in the accident. He was taken to the hospital but was released later in the day.
As if all that hadn’t been enough, local media reports that while the hotel initially agreed to pay for the damage on the Lamborghini, they changed their mind subsequently. The driver, who had reportedly rented the Gallardo Spyder has turned to the local authorities, filling a complaint.
PS: as an ironical coincidence, the Pamplona Bull Run 2014 took place yesterday. Did people get hurt yet again? Don't ask.
