Watch a Jeep Patriot Trying to Pull Out a Camaro Stuck in Beach Sand

You know how some off-road drivers get the feeling they’re in fact driving tanks on tracks, like there is no terrain that can stop them from passing through? It’s the case of this Brazilian Camaro owner who thought he could use his car to pull a jet ski out of the water. It might have even worked if it weren’t for the sea level rise that made it impossible to get the car out in time.

The incident happened on a beach in the city of Natal, the southern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Naturally, people present on the beach started making pictures and filming the whole scene. Since we stumbled upon this footage we figured it be useful to once again point out why playing around with the car on the beach is not only fun, but also stupid.

Local reports are that the driver of the car, who by the way seems to be a woman (no sexist remark, just the pure fact), was pulling some stunts with a jet ski when she found the car was being trapped by the growing sea level. She quickly got out of the car and asked people for help. Fortunately, she managed to find a Jeep Patriot driver who tried towing the car away from the water.

Even though it did eventually get out, as the video below shows, getting a car stuck in sand is a lot easier than getting it out. Now, considering that a new Chevrolet Camaro would cost over 200,000 Brazilian Reales which is about 88,000 dollars (and that’s the stock model), we’re pretty sure next time this lady will go for a beach day she’ll use the bus.
