Why would anyone want to put the a hippie VW Bug inside a shredder? Well, the answer itself is not that important, that idea is that somebody has done just this and we’ve got the video that shows how things went.
The adjacent clip shows a more or less functional old Beetle that gets reduced to pieces by a pretty hefty shredder. As the Bug is thrown into the shredding chamber, the hood pop open, giving us the impression that the little car is crying for help.
It takes quite some time for the cutters to get a proper grip on the complex structure of the car. As the car gets cut down to its chassis, more and more bystanders gather to watch the public execution.
The shredder changes the direction of its cutters in order to take a better bite of the Beetle and the car is finally reduced to nothing more than pieces of metal.
