Watch a Close-Up With the New Batmobile and Win the Chance to Sit in It

The Batmobile starring in the Batman: Arkham Knight Rocks video game built by the folks over at the West Coast Customs shop turned out to be a meaner machine than the actual hero ride. But this video Universal Pictures recently released reminds us that there’s nothing like the real deal, no matter how good the aftermarket shops are at tuning cars.

As you may recall, the bat-car in question was West Coast Customs’ tribute to the new video game and was conceived as a show car. Therefore, even though it looks quite frightening on the outside, it’s made of high-density urethane. Not the same thing can be said about the real Batmobile, the vehicle Ben Affleck is driving in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

As a matter of fact, the character himself was sketched with slightly different characteristics than Christopher Nolan’s Caped Crusader.

"It's a different Batman than the Batman that was in the Chris Nolan movies, so we have a little bit more explaining to do," Zack Snyder told The Daily Beast. "But I think only in that way because you need to understand where Batman is with everything. And that's more toward the beginning, but it evens back out as it goes on."

Getting back to the video listed below, there’s nothing new to the vehicle itself, other than a close-up of its exterior. If you’re hungry for numbers, we’ll remind the previously released figures: 20 ft (6m) long, 12ft (3.6 m) wide, 7,000 lbs (3,175 kg) and a virtual maximum speed of 205 mph (329 km/h).

Universal Studios released this video to promote their exclusive Studio Tour contest. They are offering a prize that includes the chance to sit inside the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batmobile, two round-trip tickets to Los Angeles, two Deluxe Tour tickets and more. Wait, did they say we can drive or just sit in the Caped Crusader’s ride?
