Like father, like daughter. At least it was so when the four-year-old Lea Langumier has accompanied her father Raphael Langumier, 40, on her first aerobatic plane ride in Lachute, about 85 kilometers (52 miles) from Montreal, Canada. Before you go all fifty shades of “oh, my God, that’s dangerous” you should know the man is, in fact, a professional pilot and owner of a company that offers flight testing services and aerobatic training.
Remember how your reaction when your father had you holding the wheel for the first time? Naturally, he was controlling the pedals, and even though he made you believe it was you leading the way, he was truly the one to hold the steering wheel of the car. Still, do you remember the joy? I sure remember that day like it was yesterday, and it’s probably the reason I’m a petrolhead today.
Cars were different those days, but they were still cars. Who knows, maybe when our kids will be our age they won’t even drive anymore. Autonomous cars will lead the way, and V8s will gather dust in classic cars museums.
