The idea of driving something truly unique undoubtedly attracts many people who are fed up with the same grey and shapeless blobs we now call cars. However, for those who want to drive something really special, and have between $45,000 and $65,000, we may have found the vehicle for you.

It is a 1930 Ford Model AA Popcorn Wagon, which is being auctioned off by RM Auctions, as part of the Charlie Thomas collection. This popcorn wagon is based on a half-ton, and it was used back in the day to offer people the choice of buying popcorn and drinks outside movie theaters. This particular truck is fully capable of fulfilling its job today, featuring popcorn-making machines, and, in-keeping with modern times, it has an electric fridge as well (not available in the 1930s). It also features a freezer which makes it able to store ice cream as well, making it even more useful.

Powering it is a four cylinder engine, which puts out about 40 hp, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. However, with the special livery, this fully restored truck would undoubtedly bring the smile back to people’s faces at fairs and various events it would be suitable for today, and for that alone, we say it is worth every penny the eventual buyer will pay for it.
