Walter P. Chrysler Museum and the Ghosts of Christmas Past

Located in Auburn Hills, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum has already started preparing for the holiday season, setting the decor the fifth annual seasonal exhibit, Cars, Trees & Traditions, scheduled to be held between November 21 - December 30. The exhibit highlights eight decades of holiday style through 23 trees, 30 pedal cars and more.

According to the Museum’s officials, each vignette is wrapped with text, images and advertisements reminiscent of holidays past, which will guide visitors through how vehicles, from horseless carriages to better engineered models, have changed the ways in which Americans celebrated the season’s festivities over the years.

As we said, there will also be a collection of 30 pedal cars displayed, including many Chrysler-inspired models. The miniature cars and trucks, all coming from the private collections, aims to lend nostalgic touch to this year’s exhibition.

Among the pedal cars on display:
  • 1925 Hudson
  • 1937 Airflow Sedan
  • Airflow Fire Truck
  • 1938 Dodge Sedan
  • 1939 Chrysler Airflow Fire Truck

  • 1941 Dodge Fire Chief
