Sometime this year, we can't remember exactly when, what is perhaps the greatest yacht never created surfaced. It is called WHY and is the brainchild of French luxury brand Hermes and Monaco-based yacht maker Wally (in the meantime, Hermes found the project to be way out of its league and pulled out).
The WHY has been created as your own personal island, continent, planet, whatever you like. It's self sufficient, more or less, can sustain enough of your friends so you don't get bored for years and pretty much eliminates the need for the owner to come ashore.
Yet, someone, somewhere, asked himself: What if you need to go ashore? Wouldn't you need something equally as extravagant to go about your business, being in a city or on a deserted island?
Enter the Wally Supercar Concept, a car purpose created to match the WHY yacht (at least this is what we like to believe). Designed by Matthew Hockham, automotive design graduate of the Coventry University, the Wally Supercar was created to bring “the essence of Wally onto the land and offer an exclusive user experience."
Just like a rich babe matches her purse to the Bichon Frise attached to her left hand, the supercar follows the design cues and colors of another Wally contraption, the 118 WallyPower yacht. On the inside, the supercar was designed with carbon fiber and teak in mind, two of Wally's favorite materials. To complete the Wally integration, the chassis of the vehicle is designed to match skis designed by... can you guess who?
