The W222 generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan is one of the most talked about cars that have been launched this year and it's most certainly the most important for the German car manufacturer's lineup.
As it happened with each and every new generation of the car, the latest S-Class introduces a number of comfort and safety technologies that will probably find their way to lesser, non-premium models in at least a decade from now.

The Magic Body Control system, for example, can scan the road ahead with the help of two stereo cameras and prepare the electronically controlled suspension for any bumps that may be arising.

By far, the most impressive feature is probably the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, which can pretty much make the S-Class drive you instead of be driven, transforming it into a semi-autonomous vehicle.

MotoMan already tested the feature on an E-Class Cabriolet in Europe, but in the following video he does it again with the S-Class, only this time the drive is taking place on the North American continent.
