Wrap Style Denmark did something a little crazy to promote its work: an elaborate wrap for the VW Up!, followed by a somewhat confusing photo shoot.
Using sexy ladies to draw attention in tuning is older than Tokyo Drift. Nowadays, with the 5 minutes of fame that Facebook and Instagram give you, it's pretty rare. However, showing women and cars together as "objects" of men's desire is also frowned upon.

That doesn't seem to be happing here though, as the Danish brunette almost looks like she's wearing her everyday clothes. She doesn't resemble a professional model and almost strikes us as the owner of the car. But you can still see her attempts to make the little Up! appear more appealing. After all, leaning against the hood of a car with an AK-47 in hand is not normal behavior. Why the machine gun? Because the theme is "wrap or die."

The most important part of the wrap is to show how creative the company is. Wrap Style can design and print out any design onto vinyl. Of course, the rusty look has been done time and time again, but this one is an excellent combination of purples and grays, balanced out with lettering.

Also, the windows were tinted, the brake calipers were painted red, and new wheels were installed. We don't think this car is ever going to get more attention.

The Volkswagen Up! is the modern answer to the question "Do you need to have that in your vehicle?". It's a 21st-century take on the Mini or 500, but you won't see it featured in fashion magazine spreads.

The 3.5-meter long city car doesn't have retro styling, but it has been relatively popular. Last year, a mid-life refresh was launched, and this included the only 1-liter turbo engine in this class, which has prompted many European buyers to consider downsizing to this smallest of Volkswagens.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
