VW Tiguan UK Commercial: Think Blue Baby

The VW Tiguan might have been designed to take you places with no asphalt, but it will spend most of its time taking your kids to school and bringing groceries from stores.

However, Volkswagen UK knows there's another all-important role for their cars. A study conducted in Britain showed that new parents drive on average 1,300 miles a year trying to drive their children to sleep. The toddlers love the vibration of the engine and the rolling sensation of a car in motion, so they are often strapped into their seats and taken for a ride.

Their latest "Think Blue." ad puts an ironic twist to that.Because all their cars are available with Start/Stop technology, dad isn't able to get is baby to sleep because the engine shuts off every time he reaches a red light, causing our baby to wake up and start crying. When the lights turn green, the engine hums back into life and the baby drifts happily back to sleep.

The ad ends with the Tiguan pulling up to the lights where another father is doing the same thing in a new Golf. "Yeah, we should have used Durex that night" is what they're both thinking, but VW assures them they'll at least be saving some fuel.
