For a while now, we thought that VW Group would largely stay out of the electric and hybrid game since they have so many clean diesel engines to pay with. But a whole new market for eco-cars is beginning to form, and they don’t want to be left out either.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Volkswagen will unveil a couple of green cars at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show. One will be a new and never before seen electric vehicle, while the other is supposed to the the controversial Jetta Hybrid.

This is supposed to be a gas-electric mix that will arrive at showrooms across America in November 2012. Unlike the rest of the industry, which is using bigger normally-aspirated engines, this will have the new 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI four-cylinder.
