VW Presents Das WeltAuto

Well on its way on achieving its goal of being the Number 1 carmaker in the world by 2018, Volkswagen announced today it has not forgotten about its used cars business and is ready to integrate in the new company philosophy.

Hence, the used car business will from now on be referred to as “Das WeltAuto. Used cars you can trust. Guaranteed.” The first appearance of the new division will take place in Germany in June, followed in the coming months by the expansion to Russia, Italy, France, the UK and the US.

“‘Das WeltAuto.’ is not simply a new name. Our mission is to deliver the performance and quality our customers expect from Volkswagen for our used cars as well. Going forward, there will be clear standards and a comprehensive customer promise at attractive prices for every used car under the ‘Das WeltAuto.’ brand. And that will apply worldwide,” Christian Klingler, member of the board of responsible for sales says in a release.

The advantages of buying a used Volkswagen from... Volkswagen are the comprehensive quality checks, appropriate warranty and, for those who turn in their old vehicle in part exchange. Of course, financial services and plans to add vehicle customization at a later stage.

"With the new ‘Das WeltAuto.’ brand, Volkswagen is creating a common platform for all markets, thereby professionalizing its used car business on a sustainable basis. The reorganization reflects the high significance of the used car business," Volkswagen says.
