Just about the only thing we like about what Volkswagen is doing with the Golf GTI right now is that they provide free leather. However, they still have plenty of fans out there, a fact evident from the first day of the Worthersee GTI meet in Austria.
But how about this for a car built by the fans for the fans! since October last year, these nine young apprentices aged between 18 and 24 put their mark on a Golf GTI that eventually became the Golf GTI Black Dynamic Concept, which is making its world premiere at this prestigious hot hatch meet.
Key elements include new black rims LED headlamps, and a black and red interior. It also has a matte grey hood.
"This project illustrates how the thorough knowledge, commitment and creativity of our apprentices culminate in a fascinating show car that combines technical extravagance and everyday utility," commented Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Board of Management responsible for Development.
