VW Expands Fixed-Price Servicing on All Models

German manufacturer Volkswagen recently announced it is expanding its fixed-price service plan in the UK, which now is becoming available on every model in the range until December 21, 2010. According to the new offer, all retail customers purchasing a new Volkswagen passenger car model, from Fox to Phaeton, can choose to pay a one-off payment of £250 which will cover servicing for the next three years or 30,000 miles (whichever comes first).

As an additional benefit, if the vehicle is sold before the three years / 30,000 miles is reached, the remainder of the plan can be transferred to the new owner.

The £250 plan can be purchased up to 90 days after the first registration date of the vehicle or, alternatively, it can be incorporated into selected Volkswagen Finance plans. The plan is open to all retail customers whether paying by finance or not.

The fixed-price service plan is based on the Time and Distance service schedule and comprises a maximum of an oil service at 12 months / 10,000 miles; an interval service including oil change at 24 months / 20,000 miles; and an inspection service including oil and brake fluid change at 36 months / 30,000 miles.

At the same intervals, all Fox and New Beetle models receive an oil service, inspection service including oil and brake fluid change and a final oil service.

Furthermore, Volkswagen also revealed it has a fixed-price servicing plan for buyers of used vehicles and existing Volkswagen customers for a one-off payment of £299 under a separate plan. Both plans, however, exclude maintenance and other items.
