The T5 Facelift Transporter van is one of the best vehicles we’ve ever had the pleasure to play with, so we’re happy to report that VW’s British arm is introducing a new version of it, the Caravelle Business.
This will be the flagship model of the range and comes with features borrowed from luxury vehicles. Thus, it can cater to the transportation needs of six people (including the driver), using a rear lounge area with four individual seats and a table.

Like in a normal Caravelle, the two sits in the middle swivel to face any direction, but the rear bench has been replaced with a twin-seat console that is multi-adjustable and heated, while also bringing a fridge under the seats.

The list of interior features includes burr wood inserts in the rear passenger compartment, curtain airbags, cruise control, satellite navigation with 6.5 in colour screen and 30GBhard drive, a leather multi-function steering wheel, lane change assist, a programmable heater, as well as A second battery with cut-off relay ensures the rear seating area can be powered independently.

The Caravelle Business can be recognized by privacy glass, 17in alloy wheels, darkened rear light clusters, electrically folding door mirrors and laminated windscreen. It also uses front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera and Xenon headlights with automatic activation, LED daytime running lights, headlamp washer system and heated front washer jets, as well as electric sliding side doors.

Power comes from VW’s 2.0-liter 180 hp bi0turbo TDI unit, which is mated to a DSG double-clutch gearbox. The VW Caravelle Business can be yours starting from £53,856 (EUR66,694) plus VAT, or £56,069 (EUR69,434) plus VAT with 4MOTION transmission.
