ABT Sportsline has recently launched a new modification program, this time targeting the VW Beetle powered by the 2.0 TDI diesel engine, which has received both technical and aesthetic goodies.
The Beetle received an exterior kit that brings a more dynamic image and now rides on custom lightweight alloy rims, with customers being able to choose from sizes between 18 and 20 inches.
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine has received an output boost of 30 hp and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) and now produces 170 hp and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft). This allows the oil-burning Beetle to deal with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 8.8 seconds, which makes it 0.6 seconds quicker than the stock model.
The list of tech mods also includes beefier brakes, as well as a sports suspension that allows the driver to tackle the bends with more confidence.
