The world debut of Vorsteiner’s GTRS4 body kit for the M4 took place at SEMA today and we’re glad to tell you that it’s really wide. Therefore, if you were waiting for something like this for your car, you’ll be more than satisfied.
The American tuner released a full set of photos ahead of bringing the car to the show but they really don’t do this car justice. Shmee was on the scene and he filmed it up close and we really have to give the guys props for how the whole thing turned out.

Meant to be their way of celebrating 10 years of tuning Bimmers, the GTRS4 comes as a replacement for the GTRS3 model that was introduced for the E92 M3, the last Coupe with the M3 badge on the boot lid.

As you can see, the already wide profile of the M4 was taken to greater lengths, being stretched by 4 inches up front (10 cm) and 7 inches at the back (17,5 cm) but everything was done tasteful, without falling in some kind of extreme look. To better understand what we’re talking about, imagine Liberty Walk’s wide body kit and you’ll know what we mean.

Is that all?

On top of the wider track, the car also received the tuner’s new GTS front splitter made of carbon fiber and the new rear diffuser made of the same material. Round the back you’ll also notice the new exhaust tips that, guess what? Are made of the same lightweight composite.

Since the car’s width was taken to new lengths, the car also needed new rims that would make it look normal and not like some shopping cart with a wobbly wheel pushed around a huge supermarket. They also come from Vorsteiner, of course and are 3-piece VSM-311 units with an extremely wide profile that adds up to 13 inches on the rear axle.

It’s also interesting to note how the entire side of the car was modified to accommodate the new parts. That means the side sills were also elongated and widened, while the side gills of the original M4 were complemented by new ones on Vorsteiner’s count. You can check them all out in the video below.

To top it all off, the engine received a beta ECU tune that apparently took it up to 550 HP. Of course, until we get to see a dyno chart, we won’t believe it. Until then, we can admire the car’s curves.
