Vorsteiner Equipped BMW i8 Spyder Is Here to Haunt You

Until BMW finally decides to built the Spyder version of the i8 (we know you’re going to do it, stop denying it) we can only revel ourselves in all sorts of renderings.
The latest comes from Thomas van Rooij Photography and was done for Baan Velgen including some Vorsteiner wheels too. The car looks brilliant and in this rendering it steps away a bit from the way BMW wants it to look like.

Instead of the usual blue detailing around the doors and the kidney grilles, the artist decided to go with gold, a motif that repeats itself on the tires and the headrests too. Visually, it’s quite attractive, in combination with the white body of the car but from BMW’s point of view, it might be sacrilege.

That’s because the Germans went through a lot of trouble to make their i brand eco friendly and they want them to exude that impression through every possible pore. That’s why, blue (a color associated with the clear sky and clean water) is a must-have on their i3 and i8 cars. Other than that, I could really see some Vorsteiner wheels on the Spyder when it comes out.
