After offering us a preview of their aerodynamic package for the BMW X6M in March, the tuners at Vorsteiner have just released full details of this kit, which is also the company's first SUV conversion. The X6M aero components are crafted using lightweight composite technology and a dry carbon vacuum process, the tuners say.
The parts are made of resin pre-impregnated, vacuum-formed carbon fiber autoclave system which reportedly means they are up to 30 percent stronger than the wet-lay products.
The new front end of the X6M is highlighted with the addition of a new front add-on spoiler that is made out of carbon fiber composite (CFRP). The front spoiler is designed to add downforce to the front axle at high speeds while directing more air into the front radiators and air duct openings.
An all-new power dome sculpted vented carbon composite hood will also be available in mid September to complement the front spoiler and to extract heat from the twin turbo V8 engine bay.
The rear end of the X6M is characterized by a new sporty carbon fiber diffuser that replaces the factory plastic unit. The rear diffuser houses 3 modular aero fins that are attached to the main body of the diffuser in addition to 2 vented slits to help cool the exhaust system.
To complete the rear aerodynamic package is a carbon add-on rear deck lid spoiler, balancing the additional downforce of the new front end. To complement the new lightweight aerodynamic package there are the Vorsteiner’s one-piece forged V-102 wheels in 23 inches in a Satin Brushed Aluminum finish shoed with Michelin tires.
