With Porsche being Porsche, the carmaker simply couldn't satisfy the Germanic need for Silver using a standard approach, so it came up with an eye-catching shade called GT Silver Metallic, one that somehow manages to add a different texture to the classic approach.
Now, when such a shade lands on a Porsche such as the 911 GT3 RS, it's only natural for the result to be quite an attention magnet.

Well, today we want to show you something that makes a GT Silver Metallic GT3 RS look tame. We're talking about... another GT3 RS, but one that's dressed in Blue.

No, this isn't your "average" Ultraviolet Blue Rennsport 911. Instead, we are dealing with the just-as-infamous VooDoo Blue. This is a hue that has made our knees week when covering special Porsches such as the 997-generation GT3 RS 4.0 and even the 918 Spyder. So it was only natural for the hue to give the wide-bodied track-savvy Neunelfer an irresistible look.

Both examples of the GT3 RS were caught on camera while in the careful hands of Porsche Exchange, a famous Porsche dealer in Illinois.

And while GT Silver Metallic is found on the track toy's list of options, the VooDoo Blue GT3 RS was configured with the help of Porsche Exclusive, the German automaker's personalization arm. You know, the team that will paint your Carrera GT using a Lamborghini hue and then blow a hole in your bank account for it.

The effect of these rear-engined machines is so strong that the employee who caught them on camera didn't even bother to extract them from a group of cars that, for instance, involves a mere BMW i8.

Given the fact that Porsche is only building 2,000 units of the 911 GT3 RS per year, you'll be looking at 0.1 percent of that number once you hit the "play" button below.
