Heico Sportiv has revealed one very sexy looking Volvo as a special edition to celebrate tire-maker Pirelli's 50th anniversary in Germany. The two companies have been working together for 4 years now, and it's the V40 is a fitting tribute to their partnership.
Starting from under the bonnet, the V40 project car is a T3 model equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo, which received a 33% increase in power. Its output has been taken from 150 PS and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) to 200 PS and 300 Nm (221 of-ft) of torque. That's enough to take this semi-sporty hatch to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).
Cosmetically, the V40 Pirelli Edition is a handsome looking little tire-kicker. Painted in black with black wheels, only the occasional red body accent draws your attention in. It's not quite a full makeover, but a new front spoiler and rear skirt go some way towards adding character, together with a quad exhaust system and large 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli's famous sticky tires, the P Zeros.
