Volvo Trucks Magazine Now Available for Android

After back in January the company was announcing the release of a new magazine specially configured for iPad, Volvo Trucks today confirmed that a new issue of its tablet magazine can now be read on Android tablets as well.

In the new issue of the magazine, readers can, for example, learn more about the importance of driver feedback in Volvo Trucks' cab development meet the Swedish national biathlon team and their new mobile ski-waxing workshop and visit the Ukraine, where Volvo trucks are taking the country's largest manganese mine into the 21st century.

Available for downloaded free of charge, iPad users can access the magazine from the App Store, while Android users can get it from the Marketplace.

Volvo Trucks Magazine is released globally and features stories about life on the road, articles about technology and product development and analyses of important issues facing the industry. The magazine is distributed four times a year.

"The first issue, which was available for the iPad, was very well received. By now making this next issue also available for Androids, we hope even more people will enjoy our coverage," said Tommy Kohle, Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at Volvo Trucks.

Volvo Trucks has been communicating through editorial articles, both in print and online, and has now taken yet another step forward by focusing on tablet computers.

“We are always on the lookout for new ways of reaching our target groups,” continued Kohle. "We see this as a useful and effective way of spotlighting issues that concern our company, the breadth and depth of our technical expertise and, not least, the exciting assignments carried out by many of our customers.”
