For automotive enthusiasts, the idea of building a tractor with way more muscle than the factory intended is certainly on the list of things to do in life and now we want to show you an example of such a creation.
Meet “Volvo Terror”, a tractor that has had its diesel powerplant replaced with the B21ET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from the Volvo 240 Turbo. In its stock form, the unit delivers 155 hp and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, but it has a great tuning potential, one that the builders probably exploited.
The machine’s factory driving setup, which favors understeer despite the rear-wheel drive, has been kept, but this doesn’t mean that the thing can’t be powerslid, especially if the individual rear brakes are used - one wheel is locked while the other receives full power. The aforementioned maneuver is also extremely helpful for one-wheel burnouts. You can put down you garden tools and hit the play button for some agricultural high octane action!
PS: we are thinking about the dangers of toppling over too...
