Volvo and their in-house tuner Polestar have teamed to create a new limited edition model for the US market. The C30 compact 3-door hatchback is the beneficiary of the custom treatment in this case, becoming a limited production model for the US.
Based on the C30 T5 R-Design, the C30 Polestar Limited Edition comes with a beautiful baby blue paintjob and a revised 5-cylinder engine, which now makes 250 hp and 273 pound-feet of torque.

Production of the C30 Polestar will be limited to 250 examples, all featuring a custom plaque inside, a Rebel Blue paintjob, black 17-inch Styx alloy wheels.

At $32,445 (including $895 destination charge), it’s quite pricy, but then you do get a standard sunroof, power driver's seat with memory, LED daytime running lights, keyless entry and active dual Xenon headlights.

The extra power over the standard T5 has not affected consumption, and Volvo says the Polestar will still do 21 mpg city/29 mpg highway for the six-speed manual transmission and 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway with the optional five-speed Geartronic automatic.
