Scheduled to run for the first time in the 41st Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race, competing in the SCORE Trophy Truck class, the 5.5 Liter V12 TDI that powers the truck, produces 550 HP and 625 lbs.-ft. of torque, making it an extremely powerful yet environmentally friendly race-truck.
Compared to the factory-stock Touareg specifications, this special truck features, besides the new engine, an A-Arm type front suspension which allows a wheel travel of 25 inches and a rear 4-link configuration that allows an extra 5 inches more travel over the front setup.
The wheelbase of the truck has a distance of 125 inches and is measuring an overall length of 213 inches, with a width of 92 inches, and an overall height of 78 inches, all adding up to a total weight of 5650 pounds.
