Mercedes is turning the CLS four-door coupe into a wagon as well, while they are also working on a BLS model that’s smaller but preserves the same elegant lines. Audi will for the first time have a saloon version of the A3, and if it’s BMW you’re thinking of… don’t get us started!
Basically, if it’s got four doors, nice curves and is made by the Germans, then it’s big business. And Volkswagen is also in on the action. According to Autoweek, they will have a brand new, smaller model with the same sort of design ideals behind it as the 2013 CC, but in a much smaller package.
The car will be based on the next Jetta sedan and has already been given the go-ahead for development. It’s been dubbed internally as SC, which stands for Sports Coupe. Certainly, we never got the Jetta coupe we were promised, and something sporty would be really nice to have.
