AutocarIndia has caught the brand new VW Up! supermini that was only recently made available in Europe on the streets (rather on a trailer) of New Delhi.
Despite only having room for four people and being the size of a shoebox, it costs a pretty penny, which is a problem for the premiums that are usually added to cars sold in India for different reasons. So the car you see here is has lost is ally wheels and fog lights.

According to the aforementioned source, the car will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012 in the Indian capital. It should also be marketed as a premium car. Could this be VW's way of geting into the Indian market without the help of Suzuki?
