We all know that being a new mother is tough because driving around town with their newborns can be tricky. For this reason, the Czech division of the Volkswagen brand (not Skoda) decided to design a car especially for mothers that have a baby in the neonatal period (up to seven months old).
The prototype is entitled Mama Volkswagen Up and it is based on the five-door version of the original Up. Of course the car comes with quite an interesting list of extra features such as a child seat, changing table, numerous bottle holders and more of what new moms need.

As the car was designed for Moms, the company could’t have left the exterior all dull. So, they decided white foil with pink elements, executed by specialists at WrapStyle. It might be a bit of a cliche, but we still think it looks nice. After all when you say baby, the color pink is the first one the comes to mind.

Besides all the baby related items, the Mama Volkswagen Up comes with air conditioning, leather interior , alloy wheels as well as a trip computer. Companies like ABT and OZ, world renowned parts suppliers for the VW, also left their mark on this project.

It might not be the most spacious vehicle but it’s the first one that actually delivers something that can help mothers with their newborns. This alone makes this Czech project an admirable one.
