Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Revealed

Even though this is not necessarily one of those highly-anticipated vehicle releases, the arrival of the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan has gathered a certain level of attention, since a brochure of the SUV surfaced on the web last summer.

However, we haven’t received any information or photos related to the vehicle since then. Maybe someone at VW thought that it would be time to light the fire again or maybe something else happened, but it doesn’t actually matter: we now have a new leaked (with or without quotes) brochure photos of the revamped Tiguan. While the first leak was a low-res one, now we have a decent images that really allows us to see how the refreshed Tiguan will look like.

As expected, the Tiguan has adopted the new VW family face, with the majority of the changes targeting the front end. Here, we find redesigned headlights, a fresh grille, as well as a new bumper. The vehicle will also come with other interior changes, such as new taillights that will use LED technology.

Even though Volkswagen’s design approach has started to become boring, we have to admit that the new image really works well for the Tiguan.

Under the hood of the facelifted Tiguan we’ll probably find the same engines as in the outgoing model, However the engines are expected to receive minor eco-orientated modifications that will allow the them to offer a lower level of emissions and a higher fuel efficiency.

We expect VW to release the official info and images of the revamped Tiguan in a short while and we'll be back with more details as soon as these are available.
