Following the poker rule that four of a kind is better than a full house, Volkswagen is bringing a quartet of concepts, all based on the new Up! citycar, to the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The Swiss Up! is a bit like a special edition model. It pays tribute to the Switzerland, where the show takes place, by adding a tornado red paintjob and white porcelain interior leather. The concept also accommodates some Victorinox Swiss Army Knives inside.

Next up is the Winter Up!, which lets you believe that the little car is the perfect choice for going skiing, which a lot of people do in Switzerland. The concept has some very cool iridescent blue accents (malibu blue), in combination with a pure white body. The roof has been fitted with a rack that can hold up to four snowboards.

The X Up! concept also plays on the rugged looks. It looks like the cross Up! concept from last year and features an added roof rack with added lights. The body is painted in burned orange metallic, and the roof rack, bumpers and skirts have metallic accents.

Last but not least is the Carbo Up!, which as the name suggest is a bit of a panel van stuck in a citycar body. The rear seats have been thrown away and replaced with a cargo bay that’s flat. It’s the only concept car in Geneva based on the 3-door Up! and even the boot glass has been replaced by metal.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
