Volkswagen Sends Mark Zuckerberg a GTI Sweater

Despite being one of the most famous people in the .com world and even having his life and career turned into a movie, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg doesn't live large. Instead of getting arrested for DUI in a Lamborghini, he driver around in your average $30,000 Golf GTI with a manual.

For Volkswagen, having a guy with a net worth of around $20 billion enjoying their car is like a dream come true. After learning the Facebook boss has a GTI, Volkswagen decided to thank him the only way they could. A GTI sweater was sent to him.

Really Volkswagen? Don't you think this video is a little embarrassing? It's like you're giving yourselves a pat on the back for making the GTI and dropping associations with famous people all at the same time! And do people with infinite money really need free stuff? And what's with all all the economy figures shown at the bottom of the video – Zuckerberg drives a Mk6 not a Mk7 because you guys took almost two years to bring the new model to the US!
