The summer is closing in and drop-top manufacturers are trying to appeal to customers with special offers. Volkswagen makes no exception and will be offering a new special edition for its Eos coupe-cabriolet, called “Exclusive” in Europe.

The Eos Exclusive stands out from its siblings by sporting a chrome radiator grille ribs, a sports suspension that lowers the body by 15 millimeters and the “Volkswagen Exclusive” badge. In addition, there are three unique alloy wheel designs to choose from, all 18-inch: Samarkand, Veracruz (both in silver finish) and Chicago (anthracite and finished with gloss). Clients can choose either model, for no extra charge.

On the inside, the package includes two-tone nappa leather combinations, unique alloy wheel options and black 'piano lacquer' trim inlays.

More specifically, the Eos Exclusive's interior is covered in black nappa leather contrasted with either cinnamon or corn silk beige in the center sections and side panels. Black "piano lacquer" trim inlays with coloured seams and piping round off the changes inside.

The equipment on the new Eos Exclusive meets the highest standards in terms of comfort and design,” reads Volkswagen’s press release. The Eos Exclusive is available with all engine variants including the 1.4-liter TSI, with prices starting in Germany from EUR34,350 (about US$44,000). That is almost a EUR5,000 price-hike over the standard model.

This special edition will be available only in Europe, at least for the time being. Volkswagen announced that it worked on a similar edition for the U.S., but no release date has been provided.
