Volkswagen Introduces Scirocco Edition

The Volkswagen Scirocco offers an interesting mix between the appeal of a coupe and the practicality of a hatchback. The vehicle also comes with a range of efficient engines, some of which allow it to offer a high level of performance. Now, the German carmaker is introducing a new version of the coupe-ish hatch.

Dubbed the Scirocco Edition, this brings features for both the exterior and the interior of the vehicle. The Scirocco Edition can only be ordered with the 2.0 liter TSI engine delivering 210 hp and with the 2.0 liter TDI unit that pumps out 170 hp.

We have to mention that we are talking about two special engines here. OK, none of them is a match for the 265 hp range-topping 2.0 TSI unit found on the Scirocco R, but we have to consider that the petrol one is the powerplant used by the Golf GTI, while the oil-burned one is borrowed from the Golf GTD.

But let’s move on and see the list of goodies offered for this incarnation of the Scirocco. The vehicle rides on Chicago alloy rims that use an interesting design, come in a 8X18-inch size and are wrapped in 235/40 tires. The passengers can enjoy a sunroof, electric-powered front seats, a finish that uses a mix of Alacantra and fabric, wireless capabilities, USB connection, aluminum pedals and side sills with Edition logos, privacy glass, a leather finish for the steering wheel, as well as tire pressure sensors.

The prices for the Scirocco Edition are placed between EUR28.625 and EUR31.850.
