Yesterday, we gave you the first leaked images of the Volkswagen Golf VII and now, when we’re just a few hours away from the release of the car, another batch of leaked photos surfaces online.
These come to show the same styling cues we say in the previous piece of news, while adding more details, which means that they’re actual leaked images, not some renderings.
We could probably ask a three-year old about the make and model of this vehicle and we’d probably hear the name “Golf”, but the vehicle does get a certain amount of fresh details, with the majority of these being placed at the front of the car.
The interior follows the same scheme, but does come with important changes that you won’t necessarily spot at first glance. We have to start with driver-orientated center console and we’ll carry on with the finish and the materials, which come to show that the VW brand has borrowed a few tricks from Audi.
We’re waiting for the official release of the car to give you the full technical details, but expect to hear words such as “downsizing” and “cylinder deactivation” pretty often. The Gold VII will use a new EA21 range of petrol units with outputs situated between 60 and 150 hp, while on the oil-burning side we’ll find the EA288 family, which will allow drivers to play with between 90 and 190 hp.
Update: Official images and specs here.
