Now that the seventh incarnation of the VW Golf is on the market, it’s time for the car to receive its special versions. While most of us are waiting for the GTI hot hatch, we must also cater to the needs of those who want superior luggage capacity and cover the Golf VII Estate topic.
Today we’re bringing you the freshest rendering of the station wagon model or Variant, as the Germans like to call it. In the typical VW fashion form will follow function, so don’t expect to see a roofline that’s too sporty.

To give you an idea of how much extra luggage space the Golf VII Estate will come with, we’ll offer you some values for the sixth generation of the vehicle. The 5-door hatch offers 351 liters (12.4 cu. ft.), while the estate delivers 504 liters (17.8 cu. ft.).

The Estate will borrow most of the hatchback’s engine, so expect petrol units with outputs between 85 and 140 hp, while the diesel will offer between 105 and 150 hp. Until the Golf VII Variant makes its debut later this year, you can also check out these spyshots of the model.
