In case we’ve caught your attention, this variant of the Audi A3 e-tron will probably be available for purchase later this year. So, this means that interested customers will soon be able to test its electric motor that is powered by a 8.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack sited below the rear seats.

Drivers should expect an output of 204 HP (150 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque as the conventional engine provides 1.4 TSI 150 HP (110 kW) plus the 102 HP (75 kW) delivered by the electric motor.

Concerning the vehicle’s capabilities, this particular hybrid will cover around 31 miles (50 km) in electric mode at speeds of up to 81mph. It will have front-wheel drive, power being channelled to the front wheels through a specially adapted six-speed dual clutch gearbox.

All in all, this hybrid car sounds pretty interesting and we’re intrigued to see if it will have the expected impact.
